Strange PM's

I have two PM's dated March 28th and 31st, both saying that spam was detected being sent from my computer and my account would be disabled if I didn't follow a link to check and clean my machine. I didn't follow the link, but wasn't sure what I should do. The PM's were sent from 2 different people who appear to be official, but they both show 0 posts which seemed strange. Anyway, just wondering what I should do... Thanks!

Hi Kate,

I'm sorry I missed this one until now. It's school holidays here at the moment for us and so I haven't been at the computer as much.

I recieved a report of the PM from another user and have deleted all that user's PM's and banned their account. If you do ever see a suspicious post or PM you can click the report button and that sends an email alert straight to me.

I have 5 of these messages sitting in my PM. 2 from Joseph Ward, 1 from Kendrick Warren, Harry Wells & William Greene. I didn't click on any links either.

Someone is obviously SPAMMING our PMs.

Thank you, I got your notifications and am now dealing with it. I'm currently working out how to advance people into a new usergroup that has access to PM's only after so many posts, which should help stop spammers.

I had 5 me too and it's a very good thing that there is a minimum post to prevent that spam.

I have 7 or 8 in my inbox, I have just been ignoring them...but just got another one today, so figured I better come see what is going on. LOL I'll never understand why people feel the need to do this. :(

I'd be happy to click the report button on all of them...but I don't see one. LOL Could you let me know where I should be looking, since I seem to be blind.

I'll also pm you a name, cause it looks like there is only one that hasn't been banned already, but I would like to know where the report this button is in case I get more in the future. :)

Thanks Deb :). When you read a PM or post, up in the top right corner is a little triange with a red border and a ! in it, it looks a bit like a road sign. Clicking on that will report the post or PM straight to my email.

I got these as well [4 actually] and assumed they were spam. They do look legit though and I am sure will trick a few people. :( damn annoying to see these things happen.
